3. Learn to Can for Real
SO....since growing way too many things in the garden...I had to figure out what to do with all this delicious and healthy stuff. Though I don't own all of the canning equipment that I need yet, I did learn how to do it. Jess and I picked raspberries in Northport late this summer, made jam, and canned them for REAL! It was awesome. I have been doing small batches of freezer/refrigerator canning of all kinds of things...pickled tomatoes, jams, herbs, etc. But I STILL have a jar of that raspberry jam.
This past week, my grandma sent up a bunch of her old canning equipment from the 50's. Is it a sign? I guess we'll have to wait and see how the gardening goes at our new place! =)
